London Sewerage System


London Sewerage system, which was constructed in late 19th century, has been considered to be one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Industrial World’. The system is so significant because of being so old and for its elaborate and complex functionality. The system has been upgraded several times since its construction in order to support the growing population and it is still being upgraded. The sewerage system is complex and several hundred miles long and has been given significance in various novels as a major part of the story and documentaries too have been made on the system.
