Ancient chemical warfare

The evidences of an ancient chemical warfare from Roman times (around 256 AD) have been found in the city of Dura-Europos. 20 armed dead bodies of Roman soldiers were found in a 2 m wide and high counter tunnel dug by them to counter the Persian tunnel. Being armed and not having any physical wounds, the reason of the deaths of 20 soldiers at once was a great mystery. The only possible solution to this question is that Persian ambushed them with poisonous gases, hence they were killed immediately.

The Baghdad Battery


 
This ancient artifact belonged to a period roughly from 250 BC to 250 AD. It was found in a village called Khuyut Rabbou’a near Baghdad, in 1936. It is predicted to have been used for electroplating silver products with gold.

The Japanese spider crab It is an orange colored crab which has the longest leg span among any arthropod. The length of the legs from toe to toe may reach up to 3.8 meters and its body may grow up to 40 cm. the total weight of the whole adult crab is about 19 kg. It is a species of marine crab that live in the water bodies and costs of japan. They face a little bit of fishery, which led to the decline in their number and was preserved to its present status. They are mostly found in the southern cost of japan and adults may be easily found at the depths of 600 meters. They like to live in the holes or vents in the bed of the ocean.
