Sea Pig (Scotoplanes)

Due to its large plump appearance and legs, Scotoplanes have got their name Sea Pig. These are deep sea creatures living at the depths of approximately 1000 meters. They are generally found in the depths of Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. They feed on mineral deposits at the bottom of the sea and extract organic material from them. They are type of sea cucumber and live in a group of number of sea pigs. Deep sea trawlers are the greatest threats to Sea pig as one sea trawler can catch about 250 Sea Pigs at a time.
