Blue Parrot fish is a beautiful fish having a uniformly blue body. They have a yellow spot at their head, which fades with their age. They have a large beak which is used to scrap algae and rocks in search of food. They even crush the stones into sands. Blue Parrot fish is generally a large sized fish having an average of 25 to 30 meters in length and can even grow up to the length of 1 meter. Blue Parrot fish is generally found in the coral reefs of shallow waters of tropical and sub-tropical regions of western Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. This species of fish is different from other fishes in a way that no other fish has uniform blue color as adults and hence are strange. Blue Parrot fish is generally very active and spends most of its time in searching food.

Due to their high reproduction rate and active behavior they are available in abundant number and are of least concern as declared by IUCN.
